Blue Marble Design regards the privacy of your personal information highly and the following assists you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site. We adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

 

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from bluemarbledesign.com.au (the “Site”). Blue Marble Design collects and stores personal information it may receive when you enter our website, provide to us directly or through the website, make a purchase or fill out a form. "Personal Information" is information that we hold and is about you.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.
 

When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number (credit card or payment information is not stored on our website). We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

In the case of an offline purchase we may collect information relating to EFT payments. If you are making a purchase as a business we may collect additional information from you about your business or the business you are representing in order to successfully communicate about goods and services and their purchase. This may include individual contact information, business name, business contact information, address, email address, phone number and ABN.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. We have third party applications where required for processing your order payment. In placing an order through our website, you consent to your details being shared securely with these applications where necessary.

Third Parties

Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Broadly speaking, we use personal information for purposes of communicating with you, our marketing and promotional efforts and improve the website content, offerings, layout, services and for other lawful purposes. These uses improve our site and better tailor it to meet your needs. Furthermore, such information may be shared with others on an aggregate basis. Personally identifiable information or business information will not be shared with parties except as required by law. Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our website, new services, and special offers we think you will find valuable. You may notify us at any time if you do not wish to receive these offers by emailing us at the link provided on the newsletter.

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.


We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns). From time to time we use Device Information that we collect for advertising and retargeting purposes which help us effectively market our products and services.
